Recruitment and Selection Process

Shortlisting

The decision to invite applicants to attend an interview is based entirely on what is written on the application form or in a cover letter and CV. It is important to provide as much information as possible about yourself and how your skills and experience related to the job you are applying.

Interview arrangements

Interview

Reference

References are usually requested automatically for all candidates elected, unless they have stated otherwise. You must provide at least one referee who can be approached before the interview stage. Post-interview stage

Once you have attended the interview, the department will tell you whether you have succeeded.

You can either ask for feedback on your performance or the consideration made by the panel in making decisions. Chairman of the panel interview, or a senior member of the panel that the department, must provide feedback representative of the department in which the post is based.
